Some highlights from Q4 2024:
Records and near records
There was a new minimum operational demand record of 523 MW at 1:30pm on Sunday 10 November 2024, breaking the previous record of 595 MW set in September 2023.
A peak renewable contribution record was also set of 85.1% on 17 November 2024, breaking the previous record of 84% set in December 2022.
There was a near record peak operational demand of 4,193.7 MW at 6:30pm on 11 December, occurring in the evening of a 40°C day. This peak operational demand was just 30 MW shy of the all-time record demand of 4,233 MW set earlier in the year on 18 February 2024.
